It's a start but I doubt it is a long term future solution.

no desalination project alone will solve the problem. Whats going on with the Murray/Darling deal? Presumably signed?? Is it worth the paper it's written on? Adelaide and the Murray are not getting benefits from this dud deal.

solving the water problem is far more complex and so needs a multi faceted approach

stormwater catchment is the answer- get working immediately on the Cheltenham racecourse catchment area! It's so bloody obvious not to let any water be drained into Gulf St Vincent!

I think the opposition should ease up on this government and offer to work together as no one in this present lifetime has experienced times like this so it is a certain that mistakes will be made - and working together may just help make everyone including myself a lot happier.

I'm not sure whos going to pay for the cost of this! I just hope no one will have to suffer from the outcome of this plant.

I do not think it will solve our water problem, but it sure is a step in the right direction.
